  1. What is the Drug Quiz Show?

The Drug Quiz Show is a fun, interactive drug education and prevention program that targets youth in 5th - 8th grades.

  2. How much does it cost?

Prior to 2011, the Drug Quiz Show’s corporate sponsorship agreement allowed administration of the program at absolutely no cost to more than 200 participating schools. Unfortunately, that sponsorship is no longer in place and pursuit of another naming sponsor has not been successful to date. After 25 years of free services and materials, it seems clear that collective buy-in is the reality for the program’s survival and its ability to continue positively impacting nearly 30,000 middle school students each year. The following strategies have been put in place to maintain the Drug Quiz Show in 2012 and beyond:

    1) Franchise – Local ownership of the Drug Quiz Show logo and its related publicity.

We can assist with marketing ideas for securing sponsorships that allow both current and new schools to participate. Local ownership allows the sponsor to place its name above the Drug Quiz Show logo (e.g., “Ace Transmission Drug Quiz Show”).

    2) Prevention Network is actively seeking local and statewide support for the program. Dollars received will augment the budget and eventually diminish the per school cost.

    3) Long Term Sustainability – An Endowment Fund will be established for the program which will slowly grow to a point of subsidizing and then sustaining the program.

  3. Do I have to be part of a school to participate?

No. Community groups and teen centers are also welcome, though, to be fair, youngsters should only officially participate on one school or organization team at the same time.
